Getting in

• Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, Mbombela: The sensible option is a pre-booked lodge transfer or, better still, a rental car collected at the airport: Hazyview is about 60–65 minutes away by road. There is no useful airport-to-town public-transport network. Arrange the transfer before landing; prices vary sharply by party size, but expect a private one-way vehicle to cost materially more than a shared city shuttle.
• O.R. Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg: For a self-drive itinerary, rent a car and use the N4 via Mbombela, then the R40 north toward Hazyview: roughly 5–6 hours in normal conditions, longer with stops or traffic around Johannesburg. City Bug coaches are the non-driving alternative, but schedules are limited and they are best booked ahead; do not expect a frequent, turn-up-and-go service.
