Free entry: Portland Head Light exterior and Fort Williams Park grounds are free to enter daily from sunrise to sunset; no timed entry or admission ticket is needed. The tower is normally closed. Museum admission is free for children under 6; children ages 6–18 cost US$1. The Overflow parking lot is free.
Sold out? No ordinary-entry tickets sell out: arrive during daylight hours and walk in. If Central Parking is full, use the free Overflow lot rather than circling. For the rare annual Maine Open Lighthouse Day tower opening, access is capacity-limited and no wait-list or resale route is published; do not buy secondary-market tower tickets—visit the exterior and seasonal museum instead.
